Other cold-storage model details
- 12FT Refrigerated TrailerBXRT12–1 and BXRT12–2 list 220V · single-phase · 40–60A and a 32°F inventory label. Both are named as 12ft models, but their records also mention 20ft, so your quote confirms the length.
- 20FT Refrigerated ContainerYour quote confirms this container’s power, temperature and storage space for your project.
- 40FT Refrigerated ContainerYour quote confirms this container’s power, temperature and storage space for your project.
Equipment records reviewed October 19, 2026. Temperature labels are inventory labels, not verified operating ranges. Nominal length is a model label, not a measure of usable space or site footprint.
Decide which stock the next restaurant service depends on
The restaurant manager needs to distinguish affected stock awaiting a product decision from ingredients still expected from suppliers. Station leads can identify the next service’s menu dependencies while the repair contact assesses the cooler. A temporary arrangement should follow those product decisions, with revised receiving instructions passed to the staff accepting the next order. A rental inquiry alone does not approve the condition or movement of food.
Compare holding equipment before treating every product alike
The BXRT20–1 example in the 20FT Refrigerated Trailer guide lists a condensing unit, amps panel and lighting, with a 32°F inventory label. That label does not establish a complete operating range or a cooling process for goods arriving at another temperature. The responsible food-service contact supplies the products’ holding requirements.
For a refrigerated container, nominal 20ft and 40ft options still need confirmation of usable capacity, power and temperature capabilities. Compare the offered refrigeration trailer or container with the actual cases and retrieval order, including incoming supplies that overlap with the stock retained for the next service.

Plan your rental around hospitality service
When hospitality teams plan service for an Anaheim property and a separate Alabama site, closing staff may still handle ingredients after the final guest order. Keep the current menu, supplier schedule and proposed dates together so a change reaches everyone responsible for the temporary working arrangement.
Plan around the busiest storage point
The useful starting figure is the greatest amount of stock expected at one time, including incoming orders that might arrive before older goods leave. Sketch that peak and note how it differs from an average operating day. Separate items that can remain packed from ingredients staff will retrieve frequently, and explain whether bulky containers or wheeled carts affect the layout. Include the supplier delivery pattern in the discussion. These details help frame a capacity inquiry without treating a nominal container size as a complete storage plan. Request a review of the expected load and the proposed working arrangement before reserving equipment.
Distinguish holding from other temperature tasks
Explain what the equipment is expected to do with the goods after they enter. Holding already chilled stock is a different request from asking whether a particular load can be cooled from another starting condition. Describe the arrival condition and intended use, then ask which requirements should be considered in the equipment review. Include frozen goods separately where relevant. The operation's product owner should supply the handling requirements and decide what checks are needed. Request the relevant specifications for the equipment being considered, then compare them with the actual task before approving a rental arrangement.

Coordinate loading access with everyday activity
Temporary refrigeration can affect a receiving area that already serves staff, suppliers and other contractors. Explain that existing activity when discussing a location for the unit. Include the periods when deliveries arrive, where stock handling takes place and who can authorize temporary changes to the working area. Ask how the proposed loading arrangement should be assessed and whether additional site information is required. Use that review to align stock handling, daily activity and the proposed equipment position before the working arrangement is finalized. Keep the agreed access information with the rental inquiry and project schedule.
Compare electrical requirements for holding, cooking and washing
BXRT20–1 lists 220V single-phase at 40–60A; K2 lists 220V single-phase at 200A; D4 lists 220V single-phase at 150A. Those figures describe the named examples. The selected equipment and exact connectors need review against the assigned supply by the responsible site professional, with separate preparation responsibilities settled before delivery.
Separate the work dates from the storage dates
The period requiring cold storage may start before repair or construction work and end after the permanent equipment returns. Build the inquiry around the stock transfer, site preparation and return-to-normal activities as well as the contractor's dates. Explain whether the program is fixed or may change after an inspection. Ask about the rental periods that can be considered, how an extension would be requested and what notice applies to collection. A short-term rental inquiry and a longer-term lease discussion may require different decisions. Request the current terms for your equipment and dates, and keep them with the latest version of the project brief.
Hand over cooking and washing work with separate lists
K2 in the 28FT Mobile Kitchen Trailer Rental guide lists a single-stack convection oven, griddle/oven, six-burner range/oven, deep fryers and reach-in refrigerator/freezer. If cooking moves, the handover needs to show which menu tasks use that workspace and which ingredients remain in the separate cold store.
D4 in the 24FT Dishwashing Trailer Rental guide lists a low-temperature push-through dishwasher, soil tray, scraping table and sinks. Identify returned items waiting to be washed and clean items ready for the next service. Keep equipment instructions and concern contacts available to each shift without treating the ingredient list as a washing handover.
Keep the quote attached to the next service and stock transfer
Request current availability and a quote for the selected equipment, rental period, delivery, collection and any additional items. Review that scope against the stock remaining on site and the service plan; a repair update may change when temporary holding can finish.

Decide what the next service actually needs
For the restaurant example, separate ingredients committed to the next service from unopened supplies intended for later menus. The manager can ask each station lead which items they expect to retrieve and which planned dishes depend on an unresolved stock decision. Mark those questions for the responsible food-service contact rather than treating everything in the failed cooler as an identical transfer task.
Before the next supplier arrives, compare the expected order with that revised service list. Record whether the purchasing contact has requested a change, whether the supplier has acknowledged it and which version the receiving staff should use. A handover containing the menu dependencies, outstanding product decisions and acknowledged order changes gives the next manager something specific to verify without repeating the first conversation.
